‘Threes a Crows’: Halton Trainees Working in the Community

As part of RAF Halton’s Community Engagement contribution, basic trainees from Pearson Intake, Recruit Training Squadron volunteered to help maintain the newly built Waddesdon Greenway.

The Waddesdon Greenway connects Aylesbury Vale Parkway station with the village of Waddesdon and the Rothschild residence Waddesdon Manor. The four-kilometre route provides a safe pedestrian and cycle path which is open to everyone, encouraging a ‘car-free’ day out to the Buckinghamshire countryside.

Recruits worked with members of the public to plant hedgerows and trees alongside the path, with Pearson Intake working hard all day to complete the task. All recruits found the experience very satisfying and were proud to represent RAF Halton in supporting the local community.
