RAF Halton Military Wives Choir

Military Wives Choir Halton started rehearsing on 12th December 2012 after a couple of months of planning and liaising with the Military Wives Foundation.

The Foundation was set up to guide and support the wave of Military Wives Choirs that have emerged since the Military Wives Choir became a household name two years ago. There are now over 80 choirs and we are very proud to call ourselves an official Military Wives Choir and to be part of something so close to all our hearts.

We already have over forty members ranging in age and background and the members have really bonded quickly and are enjoying our weekly rehearsals.  We have a fabulous musical director called Rebecca Izard who really understands what we are all about and what we are trying to achieve, she’s so enthusiastic and we are very excited to be working with her.

This is going to be a very exciting year for us and already we have surpassed our expectations. We have several events in the pipeline for later in the year and are looking to expand the choir further. We also hope to join together with other Military Wives choirs for some of the larger events, so there is much to look forward to and get excited about…watch this space.

Military Wives Choir Halton was set up to bring women in our military community closer together through singing.  There are no auditions; all you need is a love of singing, a sense of humour and a military connection.

If you would like to find out more about us or are interested in joining us, please contact us in the first instance via email at halton@militarywiveschoirs.org  to find out if you are eligible to join.
