Christmas Horse Play

Riding for the Disabled has once again held their Christmas party at Halton’s Saddle Club, Santa for the day was Flight Lieutenant Daf Jones who arrived on a white horse dressed as Rudolph.

Manager of the Saddle Club and Instructor for the group of children, Fiona Lightfoot, said: “The children absolutely loved it, they loved Santa arriving on ‘Rudolph’.  We took them to the soft play area at the Trinity Community Centre as well where they were able to use the soft play area as some of them are in wheelchairs.  Whilst there the children sang to Father Christmas and we awarded a prize to a little boy called Kai for the most improved rider this year.”

The Aylesbury & Wendover Riding For The Disabled Group meets every Friday afternoon in term times at RAF Halton Saddle Club.  Each week, up to nine children are offered the opportunity to ride a pony or Liquorice, the mechanical horse.
