Police & Sy Flt/Thames Valley Police ‘Corner’

Welcome to the inaugural Police and Security Flight ‘Corner’.  Each article will serve to highlight any issues that Station personnel or military families need to be aware of.

The new OC, Flt Lt James Lambert, has arrived (Nov 12) and has been busy reinvigorating links with Thames Valley Police (TVP).  We have said goodbye to PC Sam Bradley, who has now left the MoD Police to join TVP and will not be replaced.  However, to help with the gap left by Sam Bradley’s departure, Cpl Jonathan White has been nominated as RAFP Community Police Officer and can offer advice on crime reduction.  Similarly, RAFP and TVP intend to hold quarterly Community Clinics in the Trinity Community Centre to afford station personnel and their dependants the opportunity to ask questions.

Key points
Suspicious activity.  If you see anything suspicious, please report it immediately.  If you don’t report it, we can’t deal with it.  If you delay in reporting it, the moment will have passed!
SFA Crime Reduction Flyer.  All SFA residents will have seen the first joint flyer that was delivered in recent weeks.  It contains useful information and additional copies can be found in the MGR.  The next edition will be available at the end of this month – keep an eye out for it!
Thames Valley Alert: Community Messaging.  This system allows registered members to receive alerts about crime and other related activity in their area by email.  All SFA occupants are strongly encouraged to register.  Details are in the Feb 13 Newsletter.
