CO’s Cup ‘Battle PT’ Competition

The latest round of the CO’s Cup was held at the Nuffield Pavilion on a sunny Thursday afternoon. There were 5 teams that entered the competition eagerly waiting to find out what they had to do to become the first Battle PT Champions. The competition consisted of 7 challenges which all 5 teams had 5 minutes on each challenge to try and gain as many points as possible. All the games were competitively fought with not many points separating many of the teams. As the competition progressed and fatigue increased TAC were insistent on making sure RTS were not using any of their extra team members whilst PMS were resting all of theirs. The whistle was blown with all 7 challenges completed and the scores added up so far, however what they did not know was that we had one more challenge left to go and with no clear winner the scores were all to play for. The final challenge was a timed stretcher race which involved the teams racing against each other trying to get the quickest time and with only a few seconds difference splitting some of the teams it was just enough to give them their respective final positions on the scoreboard.

RTS took full points for this competition bringing them just 1 point behind SMTW on the current overall scoreboard. For what was a very physically demanding CO’s Cup this event saw some great team work from everyone and even better team spirit through out.
