RAF Halton staff were out in force to give the Station a spring clean on 18th April 2019. Serving personnel, civilian staff and Servicemen Awaiting Trade Training were picking up litter and tidying areas of the Station as part of RAF Halton’s commitment to maintaining the environment.

Station Commander, Group Captain Katherine Wilson, who joined her personnel on the litter pick, said: “The RAF Halton Station Clean-Up Day is part of the ‘Great British Spring Clean’ initiative and I was delighted and proud of the number of people that turned up to support.”

Across the country over 17,000 clean-ups were held, with RAF Halton contributing just a few of the 957,377 bags of litter collected nationally.

Group Captain Wilson added: “With Officers, Airmen, Contractors and Civil Servants all taking time out of what I know are very busy jobs to be a part of this very worthwhile cause, this important event further reinforces our Whole Force ethos and demonstrates great pride in our RAF Halton community.”
